Unfortunately you are probably right about the bars since it will make production easier. Depending on where they put the pegs might be able to throw some woodcrafts on it. I hope they keep the caliper bolt spacing the same as the 790 so I can throw some cheap used brembo m50s on it.

Oh and give me clip ons on the Vit, if you throw normal bars on it what’s the difference with the Svart? The little fly screen and a bash plate? Hope there are a few changes from the “spy shots” to set them apart. Otherwise it feels like the difference between them will be “bold new graphics”.

The chain slack adjustment is really confusing on the bike so I would maybe look at that, never know,

Like max said these bikes aren’t quiet.. I don’t have any noises specific to a gear.. sometimes I get a weird sound that I think is tied to the chain sliders on the swing arm under acceleration only…

So 801, 901 or 1001

I’ll be happy either way, 790 is great value and an 890 would be even more fun and expensive. The only thing that would be annoying is if they come out with an 801 and then a 901 the next year like they did with the original 790 and 890.

If you look at the spy shots closely you can see that it uses the 890 forks not the 790 ones based on the black caps and adjusters.. not sure if that means anything

Spent some time in the pine barrens with the 401, whoops were no problem but it def needs to be geared down in the sand, not enough low end power

I am hoping for an announcement at eicma, I looked back at when the spy shots of the 701 came out though and if it follows the same timeline it wouldn’t be announced until 2024 for 2025…

Usually in that situation the biggest danger is burning out your catalytic converter due to the excess fuel… not sure on the engine side of things. Does Rottweiler have a pc5 map for stock bikes your could just flash real quick?

New rotor finally installed, brakes are completely smooth now, the issue is gone. The wheel bearings felt really tight so I’ll probably have to do those eventually

I just noticed mine is cracked as well last night, really don’t want to tear half the bike apart to replace it. For those running filters have you had issues with the engine spitting oil through them? Also considering just taping up the cracks.

Without looking into it myself I would just compare the part numbers for the hubs and bearings. I would be willing to bet they are the same. I doubt Ktm invested the money to make unique hubs and bearings for the 2020 701 just to put on spoked wheel. It seems more like they were emptying the...

Kind of depends on why it’s stuck.. if you don’t mind bleeding the brakes it might not hurt to pop it out and take a look at the piston, bore and seal.

Sorry to hear that, hope all turns out. My 701 had always been noisy when starting hot, I exercised the tensioner like pirate racing recommended and it got better for a little while. Now it is being noisy on cold start up so I ordered a tensioner and will replace it when I get the time.. it...

The front rotor is definitely warped because I raised the front end up and rotated it so I am sure that is contributing, but at least a floating rotor will somewhat compensate when it’s warped. I’ll try to weigh them but all I have is a bathroom scale…
