    Turn signals

I testfitted the sequential KTM indicators with the same result; hyper flashing and error code. The stock 801 indicators are 2,5 watt; the sequential KTM indicators are 4 watt. If the wattage of the indicators is higher, a resistor will not work. Afterwards I tested some Motoism indicators...

5mm will also work fine. Here a pic of a TomTom mount that I also fabricated from 5mm aluminum; the angle is also 90°; and I've bent it also without heat.

    801 side-pannier-rack

I did it with a vice and some tools at the workbench, but without heat. On the pics the bracket is made from 3mm aluminum; it works fine with the lightweight rain gear in the pannier, but for some a tad heavier stuff I would use 4-5mm aluminum instead.

4-5mm Aluminum is fine to fabricate the bracket; 2mm is too flimsy.

    "Tweaked" 801 stock muffler

I do like it; even with the cone muffler; it reminds me of the Termignoni exhaust at my XR1200 with the added custom made Cone-Engineering muffler. (y)

KRIEGA Tank - US converter, use with 801

It depends on whether you will keep the stock exhaust and the stock indicators/turn signals; and also on your crafting possibilities. Your french number plates are quite wide; that makes it even more challenging. With the stock exhaust and the stock indicators the most simple solution should be...

I also did not notice anything; but maybe it's just me; and I'm simply not sensitive enough... ...by the way, is it possible that you Belgians also have some Viking genes?? 😇

    "Tweaked" 801 stock muffler

That's also a problem with the Duke 790/890; also with most aftermarket exhausts. The Dominator exhaust seems to be one of the few exhausts with a header/pipe that works without permanently hitting it with the heel...
