    Perhaps the safety car? 😉

    Idle Speed SP/VP 701

The CAN-Bus adapter cable arrived yesterday. Display shows 2000rpm (four digits) Car Scanner app says 1650rpm - all ok.

    Idle Speed SP/VP 701

Couldn’t get a connection to the ECU. It looks that my Chinese KTM adapter cable is the old K-Line version. I ordered a new one that should support the CAN-Bus.

    Clutch not disengaging

You’re right, but it makes me still a little jealous. ;)

    Clutch not disengaging

The lucky Vit owners got radial Magura HC1 brake and clutch pump. The poor Svart owners got a Magura clutch and a Brembo brake pump.

...and probably a quiet big cam.

    Idle Speed SP/VP 701

I will try to connect the OBD2 adapter and cable to see what exactly the rpms are.

    Idle Speed SP/VP 701

The idle is constantly @ 2000 rpm cold and warm. I think this is on the high side even for a such powerful one cylinder engine. I expected that once the engine has reached the operating temperature the idle speed would drop a little. This is not the case and it seems that the cold start...

    Clutch not disengaging

There is still air in the system and the clutch does not fully disengage. I always leave the cap of the master cylinder on when I disconnect the old slave cylinder. Like that no air will enter the brake line. The new slave cylinder I fill with brake fluid and „bleed“ it by pushing the piston...

    Timing Chain Tension Noise

If you‘ve ever got brake fluid on your greasy hands then you know how well it removes oil. Brake fluid is not something you want to have in the oil. Even if the amount is very small, I would better change the oil. As said before, better save than sorry. On the other hand failing clutch slave...

    Timing Chain Tension Noise

Well done(y) You might look for a different and more experienced bike shop or you fix it in future by yourself ;). Ride safe!

    Timing Chain Tension Noise

I would still bet on the timing chain tensioner. Take it out, take it apart, clean it, check the o-ring and put it back in. I’m not familiar with any way to check the timing chain tension.

    Timing Chain Tension Noise

Some suspect that failing conrod bearings are connected to oil contaminated by brake fluid. A failed conrod bearing noise is usually rumbling in its early state and a knocking noise soon after. In your video I heard more of a irregular grinding noise. To me it sounds more like a roller or ball...

    Clutch not disengaging

I ordered the clutch slave cylinder from Oberon. A Rekluse or SiguTech will work as well. For the battery you can measure the voltage or a bluetooth app may tell you how much the voltage drops when push the starter button. My opinion is that the Magura/Brembo clutch slave cylinders as the Yuasa...

    Clutch not disengaging

Clutch slave cylinder: the new piston and seal is just slightly better than the old one and many of them fail again. There is no real solution from Husqvarna. If you want to be on the safe side, buy an aftermarket one. Battery: the original battery is not a quality item. Many our bikes have...

    RG Tail Tidy

I’ve got my new Evotech a week ago. It is available since Easter It is expensive but it is so well made that it is worth every penny. Shipping to Switzerland took less one week. On the Svart the register plate has 43 degrees without modifications. Might be a concern for some countries. Very...

    RG Tail Tidy

The issue may be unique to North America as we others get the Pilen with LED indicators. R&G mentions the oem LED and their own LED version of the indicators in the fitting instructions...

    Aliexpress parts for 701 Vitpilen

A hole in centre shouldn’t matter. I will try my luck with a 3/4” rubber seal for waterpipes. The outer diameter is 25mm.

    Aliexpress parts for 701 Vitpilen

Don‘t they leak because there is no seal inside the cap? If you swap the seal from the original to the new cap it should work.
