Hey All,

I was finally able to source and order a tail tidy for my SP701. I got it today and installed it right away. The install went fairly well, but I'm running into an issue where the stock turn signal cables are way too short. Has anyone else ran into this issue? The kit came with resistors and harnesses for their LED signals but did not include the signals. I'm tempted to chop those up and make extensions, but I'd like to avoid breaking out the soldering iron if if I'm dumb and just missing something.

Thanks!

I don't have a 701, but aren't the stock turn signals on the end of the "possum catcher" swingarm mounted back fender? It would seem those wire must be long enough to route up into the tail section?

I’m assuming the op means means the cables from the blinkers back into the tail of the bike. And not the one that was originally routed along the swingarm, that one is long enough.

I have the Evotech Performance tail tidy and those cables were just long enough. If the R&G is slightly longer I can imagine you can’t route the connectors back into the tail of the bike...

Evotech is the one that I wanted but it's been on backorder since September....when I originally ordered it. I was referring to the signal wires and not the 300ft long one that extends to the swing arm. They ended up being just long enough to squeeze between the tail and the tail light but that's a temporary fix imo. I'll order some LED ones and those will be plenty long with resistors.

I’ve got my new Evotech a week ago. It is available since Easter It is expensive but it is so well made that it is worth every penny. Shipping to Switzerland took less one week. On the Svart the register plate has 43 degrees without modifications. Might be a concern for some countries.
Very happy with the Evo, less happy with my SP701, this afternoon a broken wheel bearing on km 850. Monday appointment at the dealer not just for the first service.
