    701 Brake Options

Yes, trail braking is the practice of reducing braking forces as lean angle increases as there is only so much one can ask from their tires. Not so sure however that I am in favor of losing the art of manually blipping and downshifting when damn hard on the brakes like when riding my Honda...

    701 Brake Options

*Thread jack* Speaking of trail braking, the simplicity of the auto-blipper actually made the unlearning rev matching an issue 😆

Repair the part cosmetically if you like as there is no damage to the fuel tank. If it were mine, I would not add the extra weight of crash bars. Super nice bike… wishing I had mine too… as it is waiting for me in Mississippi. *Edit* Cover with a layer of carbon fiber or glass.

MotoGP, WSBK, TT all about road racing

MotoGP is going to be anybody’s guess this year. Attrition will play a key roll. I am more looking forward to both WSBK and Moto2 with some USA skin in the game.

New Bike, now all I need is a Plaid Shirt.

While good street tires with cool down times between the twisties they absolutely suck for track use. Super critical of pressure & temps they give little to no warning when they have had enough race pace. But I still use the single compound version on the street with my big ‘96 Speed Triple.

MotoGP, WSBK, TT all about road racing

I am a huge fan of motorcycle road racing. Having grown up in the areas of Louisiana & Texas (home of the likes of Spencer, Polen, Schwantz, Edwards, Spies, & more) & later California & Washington State, I have attended many GP, WSBK, & Club level events throughout my life Including Laguna Seca...

    TANK SLAPPER!!!

You should start with springs... at least making sure that your sag is in the range associated with your type of riding. The 80:20 rule applies here too. The 20% applies to fluid dynamics (viscosity and air levels). Cheers!

New Bike, now all I need is a Plaid Shirt.

Track circulation requires a race compound... unless you don't mind switching from 1-finger to 2-finger braking Er.... Otherwise, stock pads are perfect for street. Any idea how the AP racing version compares to the Brembo Race compound pads? Cost difference?? Thanks.

    Badwinners Performance Kit

I absolutely love how Husqvarna designed this modification. Very indicative of the overall de-restriction process.

Non-Husky ride down Ca Hwy 1 - Monterey to Pismo

So while it is recommended to avoid Hwy1 on weekends & holidays, we got lucky a few years ago when I still lived in Pismo Beach. It was a 4th of July weekend and fires were raging along the coast of BigSur. Hwy1 was closed at Lucia and we had the whole road to ourselves as we ran several times...
