Exhaust

Has anybody picture/photo or know the type of the ECU? I don ´t want to remove the tank to find out.

I asked some dyno tuners here about the mapping and to be sure, they can connect to the ecu, they asked me to verify the type.

Thanks

Something i noticed today with my Remus that didn't strike me at first....

I tend to ride midfeet on the peg's and also sometimes toes to the outside (duck style) and i was told it's a pretty bad habit !
So i've been trying lately to correct that posture and placing my feets the balls of the feet on the peg ! (Sorry that's the word i got from translation, i didn't know feets had balls !)

Anyway, that bloody Remus stands in the way ! If i back up my right feet my heel bumps into it ! It's complety OK, but still a downside... (for me)
Beacuse that wasn't the case this stock....

One thing i noticed too, but maybe has nothing to do with it, the idle when she's cold seems worse.... She died on me one or two times... ( nothing after !!!)
I guess i am good for a Fuel X !

I have the stock one and, depending on how I place me right foot it also hits the exhaust (the plastic protector), and I do not have large feet (43 EU - approximately 27cm)

I don't remember having this problem with the stock one..

I fitted the FuelX Lite to my 801 pretty early on and have never had stalling issues. I also run and aftermarket exhaust. You could give that a try?

Hi, I'd like to replace the catalytic converter with a nice straight pipe found on AliExpress for just over €50, while keeping the stock muffler.
To avoid problems on my Svartpilen 801 Euro 5+, I'd need to install a lambda sensor emulator, a fuel dongle https://fueldongle.es/it/products/f...90-husqvarna-901?_pos=61&_sid=da8caa874&_ss=r
Has anyone done this? Any problems?
I know it's better to remap, but I'd like a plug-and-play solution that can be restored during the service to avoid losing the KTM warranty.
Thanks

Much more pricy but this combo seem to work pretty well together.... Christmas may come early with year ! ^^

Here a link that might be of interest to you; it's a thread about the Norden 901 cat delete with lots of information.

My bike dies when idle and cold and gives me a warning sign on the dashboard since i added the Remus Exhaust...

Thought it was an official option and nothing to worry about, fact is it is not....
If you have to buy an optionnal Coober or else each time, it's a kinda different story.... (than the one they sell...)

If you went from the stock muffler with baffle to the Remus with a baffle I find it incredibly hard to believe that is your issue, the airflow just can't be that different. People have totally removed the baffle from the stock can and not had issues, that would affect flow way more than another brand with a baffle. Cold starts are generally richer in ECU tuning land to make up for the fact that the fuel condenses on the wall of the intake tract. Do they run a high ethanol mixture in France? Have you tried putting the stock one back on? Maybe something else happened and it is coincidental instead of causal.

Thanks for your feedback... Warning signal keeps coming and disappearing... Didn't notice anything wrong on the bike, i'll see with the dealer...

When i asked the AI about it, it said it was quite a common issue on those bikes after exhaust mod... other than that bike runs just fine.

@801FAN I agree with @toast449 . I've test-fitted several exhausts to the 801 and never had a similar problem; and I also don't know of anybody with a 801 or 790 who ever mentioned a similar problem; and from a technical standpoint, too, I can't comprehend how the muffler should supposed to trigger the fault.
My guess is also the Remus isn't causing the issue.

I find Ai results not the best reference most of the time… it comes up with generic answers.

Taking the same problem from different bike brands/types and ‘concludes’ that your bike has ‘known’ issues. Just to come up with a pleasing answer.

If you check the source you’ll probably see there’s no mentioning of the ‘Svartpilen 801’…
