Issues fixed under warranty

Just back from the warranty repair to my front sprocket oil seal. Fingers crossed this one works.
Btw, it's common knowledge within the Husqvarna service department that there are a batch of faulty front sprocket oil seals out there. Some of which are being used in repair jobs like mine and failing. So keep an eye on them.

How much lemon juice is it loosing? Can you describe it or show a pic?

I also have a minor oil leak in that area. When I check it after a ride, I have a thin layer of fresh oil on my finger. I don't know if the categorizes as "sweating". My dealer knows about the problem, he didn't change the front sprocket oil seal at the first service but I'll keep an eye on it.

Yes please do. It's a common fault, they know about it. That oil is damn expensive to lose. Get them to repair it if you can. Good luck . No lemon juice pics sorry. 🤣

Insist on getting it changed. It won't magically get better and is a known issue as documented on this thread by several owners (including me!)

It's a bit strange, but it seems the first production line of the 801 is more reliable than the later ones; mine was delivered end of July 2024; and up to now (apart from the minor quality issues upon delivery) no major issues.

I have 801 from the first production line got it in the beginning of July 2024.

So far I had an issue with throttle body, it just died, a lot of corrosion inside.
Front rotors were replaced as well, they were bent.
Now I have a problem with a clutch sensor, the pin is just stuck, the shop has ordered a new one.

But the biggest issue was with some strange warnings related to ABS system. They appeared on well-warmed up bike and didn't disappear sometimes. The strangest thing that it did affect cruise control — it just didn't start. In the shop they replaced a lot of stuff, don't already remember what exactly. This warning disappeared after one of software updates (it was said it targeted exactly this issue). But at time cruise control sometimes doesn't work, it is much more reliable, but still.

Damn, that's quite a lot of trouble with the bike!
How many kilometers has it run?

When the cruise control doesn't work, check if the braking light is working or if it is not as intense as it should be. The KTM adventure (790 and 890) have had several problems with the pressure sensor that activates the light. If it doesn't work correctly it desactivades the cruise control at the same time. I don't know if the system in the 801 is the same one. I may do some research.

Oh, it is a very good suggestion. I had situations where cruise control suddenly turned off without any braking. This might be as well the reason, I will check out how breaking light behaves in such situation, thank you!

Don't know if it helps, but I've read in a KTM forum that even a slightly "faulty" battery (that still starts the engine and seems to retain its capacity) can cause all kind of electrical/electronic problems such as ABS errors, etc.

Damn! That's quite a list of issues! Hope you get them all sorted under warranty.

I have a very slight automatic chain oiling system on the bike (front sprocket oil seal). It barely loses anything and the dealer is a couple hours and a ferry ride away, so no way I'm leaving it with them. I think I'll show them and have the mechanic talk me through the swap and do it myself eventually. It takes several hundred miles of riding to see any oil down at the pan line so I'm not in any hurry.

I’m in the same boat, minus the ferry crossing. Very slight weep. Don’t trust the garage though as they can’t even tension the chain correctly when serviced. Multi marque dealer without the correct training I assume.
Only had it serviced there for the warranty. Looks like some research is needed.
