    Question on the S/V pilens series 401 - 250

I learned the hard way that KTM RC/DUKE 250 and 390 parts are not the same when fixing my RC, there are many small differences like the front wheel axle, engine mounts etc etc are different sizes, won't fit and not cross compatible. I would suspect that the Husq will have the same problem...

Oh No O'Niel is at it AGAIN

I maybe biased but the White vitpilen is the best version :)

I think I'm too tall for this bike

camera lense can do weird things with perpective. However the 701 is definitely a larger bike and if that doesn't give you the look you want then nothing will.

Anyone put a USB socket on a 401?

I used the Husqvarna + a long lightning cable for my iphone that just stays on the bike and zip tied on the frame.

    TANK SLAPPER!!!

I find this an odd suggestion from Hyperpro perhaps someone else can explain, To my understanding sliding the forks up the clamp will reduce your wheelbase (trail) which is better for cornering but worse for straight line stability. what you want is better straight line stability so you...

    Duke 390 top yoke compatibility

Husq 401 triple clamp has built in mounts for the front lights, where the KTM doesn't

Iginition and Clutch cover protections - Has anyone mounted them on their bikes ?

Yes I did, but in hindsight the husq part is pricy I would get the GB Racing full engine cover or something similar instead for a little bit more, which I think fits better and protects better as well. The KTM / Husq style actually scratches the engine cover on impact and the Aliexpress stuff...

Iginition and Clutch cover protections - Has anyone mounted them on their bikes ?

easy to install yourself, don't really need torque wrench the m6 bolt are generally 12nm which is low level, just do it until it feels tight without muscling into it. Just make sure you use the Loctite 243 on it

    Lean Angle

Certainly not that simple as your weight and the suspension will compress

Rear Shock Choices for the 401?

I'm a bit confused as to what exactly what are you trying to say? External Reservoirs are for looks? You don't need any adjustments? All aftermarket shocks are the same?

Rear Shock Choices for the 401?

The consensus is that no you can't properly tune the suspension without separate compression adjustment, I talked to a number top racers at the track and suspension experts and they all said rear shock without remote reservoir is simply garbage. Don't be cheap and just get it :) .

Rear Shock Choices for the 401?

It wasn't too hard with the brand new R2 one because the adjustments was easier to wind and smoother but on my old Nitron R1 it was really stiff I think because it was a bit weathered and for both shock I was only able to spin it maybe 1/8 turn at a time, because of the limitation from the...

    Svartpilen Weight Reduction Project

not sure, even if it last 1/3 of the steel I would still use it not that expensive ($95 NZD) and it's easy to replace
