Just wondering and looking at potential upgrade options. Mine has just failed and it is booked in for inspection with my local (rip-off) Husky dealership.

Exactly. I would look for something decent but cheaper! A Nitron would be cheaper and they are really good.

I have a Nitron R1 on my 401 and I can honestly say it has been brilliant. It can be ordered with a grey spring too if the baby blue isn't your thing. Setting spring preload is a breeze, even in the tight space in the frame on my 401. Damping clicks are positive and it was near perfect for me out of the box. I've done 5000 miles on mine in nearly 3 years and I'm thinking it will get treated to a service this winter. You can send them to Nitron direct but I'll probably take mine to Darren at MCT as they are 10 minutes up the road from me.
A no brainer upgrade compared to the WP shock. My WP unit was steel and 1.1kg heavier than the Nitron not to mention over damped and with a spongy progressive spring.
Best £600 I've spent.
