Vitpilen 701 Tail Tidy

There was an R&G tail tidy on my bike when I bought it, but I took it off and went back to stock configuration since I didn't like the look of it. I think it messes up the back end too much, hides that lovely rear light and ruins the general lines of the back end. The main thing I don't like about the stock plate holder is the weight of it. A carbon fibre replacement for that heavy metal arm would be perfect for me. Sorry I don't have any good pictures of the R&G mounted on my bike, but it's a pretty common item so a quick google will show you what it looks like :)

So the main point of this reply is have a think before you spend the money, don't get a tail tidy just because it's fun to mod the bike ;) the kind of tail tidies that I've seen for our bikes look a lot like the standard rear plate holders on other modern bikes from other manufacturers, and their forums are filled with posts about how to get rid of them 😄
But whatever you decide, you'll do what you like best of course! There's no right or wrong here, just opinions 🙂
