I was installing a Power Commander 6 on my 2019 Vitpilen 701 and I was taking off the separator hoses to get access to the fuel injector connection. I found the hose to the air box connection and the return to the engine connections were broken. So I went to look up the part number and it wasn't shown on the Husqvarna parts fiche. I called my dealer and he couldn't find it, I then decided to look at the 690 Duke and there it was. Part Number 75030087000 OIL SEPARATOR FOAM 07. The part was $21.89 USD. Pretty cheap, I also got a used one from Canada for about the same price, so that I would get one or the other fairly quickly. Of course, they arrived on the same day.
So, what do you have to do to replace the separator? Pull the entire subframe off, including the airbox, battery and support pieces, then remove the throttle body and pull out the 14 inch long separator. Install is the reverse.
So here is the damage to my separator

Here is the separator being removed.

Here is all the stuff I pulled off to get to the separator

So I am betting she got damaged by the struggle to get the fuel line off, be careful tipping your tank side to side to disconnect the fuel line and electrical connections. Here is the new KTM part in place.

I plan to put her together this afternoon and go for a spin with the new Power Commander 6, should be fun. The disassembly, while a bit tedious, is pretty straightforward, however, there is very little information out there on it. I think I found one video on removing the rear, it was helpful, the service manual is lacking in this area. Hope this helps someone out. I love my Vitpilen, can't wait to ride her some more, enjoy your bikes.
