Vit and Svart 701 discontinued, buy one while you still can! :-)

Is there a way to identify a Svart manufactured in 2021 as I am buying a UK bike registered in September 2021 and even the V5 says 2021 but a couple of people on a facebook forum think its probably a 2020 model. Can anyone help please.
Thanks

The Svartpilen was only manufactured in 2019 and 2020. If it's black with cast wheels it's 2019, otherwise most likely 2020.

Are you sure none were manufactured in the early part of 2021 ? As the V5 does say it was manufactured in 2021 ? (Style version Bronze with spoked wheels)

As far as I know:
Svart: Bronze with spoked wheels is the 2020 style. Black with cast wheels, 2019.
Vit: Blue with spoked wheels, 2020. Silver with cast wheels, 2018-2019.

Edit:
If you can get the VIN, the 10th number should be the year.

Mine has the 10`th character a letter "L" , not a number. It`s a 2020 model.

Could be pure coincidence but seems to be valid also for cars. The 10th character of the VIN number of my car is H, wich according to the table is 2017, and 2017 it is.
Not a coincidence. This is somewhat standard for all vehicles worldwide.

Quick question fellas, I 'm able to get my hands on a 2020 701 Vit but hesitate because of the stance. Since I had a 401 Vit but found the clip-ons way too low, will I get similar ergo's with the 701? Txs.

It will be close, a little more room so you can move around to shift the weight. You’ll want to ride it if you found the 401 uncomfortable because it will be similar.

@Lozion why not just get a Svart if the Vit seating position doesn't work for you. Although I love the blue Vit I knew the ergonomics weren't going to work for me. Changing the exhaust, removing the "number" plate and adding a t-rex tail tidy makes my Svart look even better.

Having owned both the 401 and 701 I can say the 701, which I still now own, is more comfortable ergonomicly. I’m 6ft so was a bit cramped on the 401. The seat however is more comfortable on the 401 I found.

Txs guys, I noticed the Vit has a single seat only, which is a drag to haul the ladies around..
That is simply not true. A passenger seat and foot pegs are included To assist with hauling the ladies around.
They were not installed on my 2020 Vit but were included in a box also containing the tool kit and possibly some other things.

The one I was looking at comes as is unfortunately..

If this bike is on your bucket list the parts are available at dealer.
I removed my rear foot pegs, took about 20 minutes. I imagine re-install would be about the same.

Your choice but I thought everywhere had some sort of postal or delivery service.
The 790 is a nice bike, just about 15-20% heavier which is more weight than I want to a mostly urban bike.
