Should this little tube below the right fuel tank be vented or not?
On my bike the “angle piece” hose fitting was attached/melted to the exhaust manifold and sealed shut. When I dislodged it from the manifold and removed the “angle piece” plug from the tube, I heard some venting taking place.
Had a service technician ID it as fuel/evaporate emission or something of the sort over the phone. I found it doing my first oil change and put everything back together, so I was not wanting to take everything further apart again.
I now have confidence that it should be vented & just zip-tyed it in place away from the exhaust.
Hi,
I bought a Norden in August and want to introduce myself in brief.
My previous bike was a KTM 640 Adventure. Wehen the third time an engine damage was detected I decided to sell the bike. The dealer offered me a test ride with the Norden and the new story begun.
I detected the same as described by Ben. The small hose was in contact with the exhaust pipe. The garage looked after that and found a good solution. The small hose goes now the other way around the bigger hose.
