Time to Shoes

Picked up some shoes, which are technically riding boots with CE Protection 1 1 1 1 Rating.





They also came with a second set of laces in gray for those who dont like the neon.

The purpose is to replace my vintage, melt proof Globes. (and by no means replace my "real" riding boots...which are melted...)

Test fit off the bike resulted in the following conclusions:
More comfortable than many regular shoes... and from the sizing they fit like regular shoes so there is no need to bump up a size like with many other Italian boots.

Feel great, in-shoe climate is great, after the first 2 or 3 motard moves the soles slideability is also great.

...and... they're not melt proof (dont ask me how I know )

I had the same, really liked them. I was sad the day they wore out.

Liking them so far...had them in the wet too, and on the inside I stayed dry... pretty slippery soles though on wet pavement at stoplights and such.

It never rains here, and if it does I'm working from home. So I never had the pleasure of experiencing that. But yes, careful.

Yeah, when I expect the rain or snow I typically use a pair of Geox Amphibeox boots I have because they grip so well.

You dont know what your missing though, until you catch a freak downpour in summer when it hasent rained forever... the roads are at least 5 times slipperier than Ice and you get a free black racing stripe.

Belgian weather here, so I know where you're coming from ... caught by a storm couple days back. Soaky wet, but after 15min safely and butt-naked in my garage ^^

I just received these yesterday, but haven't ridden with them yet. $80 on Amazon. Comes with neon laces that are a decent match for my 401 highlights, and also red laces.


The leather is a bit shiny but has good protection for ankle and toes. The side zipper works well for getting on and off quickly.
