Hello all. Looking for some advice if anyone can help.
I’ve recently bought a Svartpilen 701 having previously owned a Vitpilen.
All was great until last week when the delivery became very very jerky at 6k revs. So much it nearly had me off the bike. Tightened battery terminals all was well. Then the other day I got TC Faluire on clocks with ignition on and no crank from starter. Nothing at all.
Positive terminal loose. New charged battery. Still TC Failure.
In neutral. Kill switch off. No difference stand up or down.
It’s still under warranty which is good. But would be good to sort it.
Any ideas? Cheers. Jim.

I'm sure the TC light is on until you move away and the wheel sensors pickup movement !

It’s not the light. It’s a message on the screen. TC Failure. The bike won’t start to allow me to move off to put the tc and Abs light out.

Only the factory immobiliser. No aftermarket stuff
bike turns on, everything else works. Fuel pump primes.
TC Failure then displays
press starter- nothing happens. not even a click.
fuses checked on the side of the bike, the four abs ones and both the main and the spare and all appear to be ok.
if I don’t sort it. It gets collected Thursday by the dealer.
ill post on here what the fault was, as there is no useful information on Google on this fault.

I only mention the alarm immobiliser, because I had an issue where the bike wouldn't start, turned out that the immobiliser had activated.

keeps us all in the loop.

Try a new/fully charged battery. Happened to me once and jump starting it solved it, changed the battery and it has never happened again.

Same here. Went straight for a new battery as was still on the original and problem went away. Original battery showed good charge too but I did notice the problem occurred during cooler mornings where CCA was reduced.

I have a slightly different issue. My motorcycle, svartpilen 701 will start without a problem and when I put my kickstand up it is still running but as soon as I pull in the clutch and Click into gear the motorcycle stalls and I receive the TC Failure warning. I have just purchased this bike used and it has been working great for two weeks until a moment ago…

Magnet missing from the Side stand ?
Thanks for the heads up to look for regarding the side stand this next time this happens. I did with the bike like I do with a computer when it’s acting up. Disconnect battery terminals, reconnect battery terminals and often enough the problem goes away as it did in this case, but I’m happy to know that the kickstand magnet being missing will be a place to look if it happens again. This is why forums are great…! :-)
