Anybody know how those tags are attached? Taped, glued, bolted from the back?
Is there good paint under glue that can be cleaned off? Holes?

Soaking it with WD40 overnight will get a glued on sticker to come off. What's underneath? No clue.
Had occasion to take the side panels off today and it appears the tags are held on by plastic pins through holes and then expanded on the inside. Kind of like a plastic rivet.
Nothing you would want to pry off. Grinding off pins with a Dremel from the inside is the best bet for removal if you gotta do it, but then the tags would have to be glued back on to reuse.
