I agree, but the one thing that catches my interest about them is that they blend in better with the bike. The T-rex frame sliders look ehhh odd....
Good to hear everything is ok.FYI, I slowly highsided my bike a few months ago (fresh new rear tire, first corner).
It slid on a 5-10 mph right turn, and highsided on the left side. The only damage was a clutch lever, bar end mirror, and shifter peg. Other than that, no scratches whatsoever.
No crashbars or anything on my bike.
You ok?...The only damage was a clutch lever, bar end mirror, and shifter peg. Other than that, no scratches...
I was ok, and indeed got a new lid.![]()
Could you post a picture of your bike with them on?I have the T-Rex crash bars and im on the fence about looks. Thankfully I havent had a chance to test, but be sure I will be updating this post if I do lol.
My thoughts on the subject:
- KTM bars have more mounting points : better force distribution where as the T-rex only has 2 points, lower engine mount and frame mount. The KTM I believe has 3 that are evenly distributed. Looks wise, I think it blends with the trellis frame ok.
- Weight: The KTM bars are pretty heavy compared to the T-Rex. I am a weight weenie when it comes to bicycles and motorcycles . This is the sole reason why I went with T-Rex was to save weight, had nothing to do with looks. hopefully its not at the expense of my bike but we will see.
Here you go
You spotted the main ones, I also have Dymag wheels, Brembo Stylema calipers / Master, Andreani internals (soon to be swapped out to Nitron), Woodcraft clip ons and PCV (Got the bike with Leo exhaust but may try swapping that out in the future for a Arrow full unit). I also have a bored Throttle body (tapered). Its making around 74-75hp with these mods on the dynojet. It was reading 69-70hp stock <- getting that out of the way as that is usually the next question. Feel free to DM me if you have any other questions, dont want to derail this thread. Not crashbar related, but any chance of some more pics and info on your bike?
I'm spotting some northline rearsets, samco (or similar) hoses, nitron shock, and what appears to be a different or reground cam and a massive open air filter!
What else did you do to it?
Thank you. I didn't know they also had frame sliders for these bikes. Here you go
Yes im always skeptical when someone with an LC4 claims 80hp with bolt ons... Kramers are making 80hp with pretty reworked motors so its not easy to get big numbers easily. Those gains sound way more realistic than what Badwinners is trying to sell us....
No problem - sorry about calling these crash bars lol. The sliders are way better looking that their hideous crashbars. My opinion, I do like their products but man, the KTM one is heaps better looking.Thank you. I didn't know they also had frame sliders for these bikes.
Those are a lot less visible than the crash bar they make.
That is another option to consider.
Yup agreed, and a testimony to the stock state of tune.Yes im always skeptical when someone with an LC4 claims 80hp with bolt ons... Kramers are making 80hp with pretty reworked motors so its not easy to get big numbers easily.
Do krämer really do some internal changes on their engines? I thought it's just about periphery like airbox exhaust custom ECU..Yes im always skeptical when someone with an LC4 claims 80hp with bolt ons... Kramers are making 80hp with pretty reworked motors so its not easy to get big numbers easily.
