I just weighed the stock front brake (1 year old) vs. new MotoMaster Flame Floating brake.

1598g - Stock
1251g - Flame

=347g Reduction

Those flanges look pretty good.

I've seen some after market pipes with thin flanges that bend easy under the clamps and like to leak.

They offer two on their website, one for spoke wheel and one for cast wheel.

After a brief 50mile test --> It's amazing what reducing a good 300g of unsprung rotating mass really does.

Without using math, I would guesstimate the aftermarket rotors being 500g lighter are about the equivalent of 2% hp gain!

What does the rubber on these sprockets do?

Makes then more quiet (NVH reduced) and supposedly reduces wear on the gearbox.

Wow! Thats a massive gain! Do you know how's the wear on those? I guess they last much less than the steel ones.

not sure, even if it last 1/3 of the steel I would still use it not that expensive ($95 NZD) and it's easy to replace

I've seen spindly steel sprockets that are almost as light as aluminum sprockets... That's my first choice. And of course, there are the sprockets with aluminum centers and steel teeth. I'm thinking of getting one of these once I decide how many teeth I want.
