Hey guys, I’m wanting to know if I buy a 2022 Vitpilen, can I turn it into a Svartpilen easily? I wanna change the body panels, gas tank rack, front fender, handlebars and wheels/tires from my 2020 Svartpilen. Would there be major problems doing this and will the parts fit? Thanks in advance for any info.

Yes, I think you can.

I'm puzzled though, you already have a Svartpilen.

Are you going to put the 2022 Vitpilen parts on the 2020 Svartpilen?

it should be easy to do.
You should totally do that.
I would love to see the before & after comparison of both bikes.
To stop making sense seems to be the way forward.

I am sorry if this is a stupid question, but why not buy a Svart instead? Availability in your area perhaps?
You might have a problem with cable and wire reach for the bars, but those should be swappable as well.

Well for the following reasons . Basically a friend wants the vit and I love my Svart. I’m having problems with it and the dealer here in SLP, Mexico is a joke. So I’m planning to get a younger Vit then change it into a Svart and keep it. Then sell my transformed Svart, into a Vit, to my friend who doesn’t care about the problems it has. Things like the easy shift not working, dealer says mine has it but the computer can’t use it. Blinkers are erratic when I hit the brake at same time. Leaks from stator side of engine, that the dealer opened up and just used some goop, instead of an actual gasket When they closed it back up. There was a problem with my bike’s ecu, that the dealer said they have to replace the entire wiring harness, which took five months. They didn’t do a good job either. My friend just wants a Vit to practice getting his knee down. So we’d both win.
Yes I heard about the cable, wire problem. Thanks

Thanks

That's pretty solid reasoning.

Sounds like you got a lemon with your Svart. Hopefully you won't have problems with the Vit.
