Svartpilen 801 - lower handlebar

The 42mm handlebar mounts are about 20-25 Euros each plus the 40mm bolts, but you could possibly also use some 15mm spacers underneath the 27mm handlebar mounts.
Out of curiosity; do you prefer the even lower handlebar or why did you choose to reduce the max turn of the handlebars instead?

Honestly I don´t wanted to waste some other time and wait for some other parts, etc. And to solved it by reducing the max turn was easy way for 1€ costs.

I like the new possition really a LOT and have some doubts, if the with the 42mm mounts wouldn´t be worse. Probably not. But this way it fits me, so I will keep like it is. I have to repeat how surprised I am, that it is still very comfy.

I also would like to mention, that with my 95kg naked weight my preload on the rear is on max (SAG 30% as it should be), so the riding possition is quite sporty and with original handlebars it was almost like a travel enduro bike 😆

Thinking of swaps and parts, does anyone know if the Vitpilen front light can be mounted on the Svartpilen ?
 
Someone already swapped the headlight the other way round; from a Vitpilen headlight to a (401) Svartpilen headlight; since it was plug and play (as he reported), I assume the Vitpilen headlight should also work with the Svartpilen plug and play.

Agree it looks indeed very good.
To me the Vitpilen headlight is a very nice and interesting eyecatcher, but at all I do like the classic style of the Svartpilen headlight at the bike much better; but that's just me.

The design of the whole bike is kinda unique, un-classical, futuristic, and the Vit front light fits that spirit perfectly, imo...

Definitly ! Answered on another thread, someone already did it the other way round, Svart light on the Vitpilen, so it should be possible indeed !
 
I'm also genuinely interested in the lamp swap, but spending ~800€ in something that maybe I won't be able to install or would require extra mods really puts me off.
 
So... to swap for the vitpilen bars, you need the vitpilen clamps too? plus the bolts?

I test rode the vitpilen, and indeed it handles a lot better due to the lower bars and michelin tyres. I would be interested in the swap.
 
On previous page is a picture a parts list posted by Tom.

If you will swap just handlebar from Vitpilen, as I did, you will be 15mm lower than Vitpilen and you have to limit somehow the maximum turning angle of the handlebars, because the controllers will be in contact with you tank.

Or you have to swap also the handlebar mounts from Vitpilen and than you are in same possition as Vit and pro problems at all.
