Svart 401 - 2018 - Track Max Speed

Hi people!
Just wanted to share with you a compilation I just did with the max speeds I reached out so far on racing tracks with my Svart401.
Hope you like it :)

This is awesome. Love seeing the tracks in Spain!

Thanks! Iactually reached 185 kmh/115 mph on Catalunya circuit but I wasn't recording...😅
The thing is that when you go to a track day the engine has a power loss during the day due to overheating. Our little arrow is not made for racing tracks and has a tiny radiator so at the end of the day you can loose up to 5 to 10 kmh at the end of the fast sectors.
Also if you are wearing the leather suit and try to be completely flat on the bike you can scratch 5 kmh easy!

Thanks! I agree. I must say we are very Lucky here with the racing tracks.
2024 season I'm planing to go to Cheste on Valencia and Jerez on Andalucía, so I can ride my little arrow on all the GP tracks we have here. Kind of expensive though... 💸💸💸 lets see what happens 😅

Really? Are you sure this is a cooling issue? Like the computer limiting top speed or enriching the mixture dues to the temperature?
Typically most bikes are well cooled at higher speeds... its the low speeds that can be a problem...

Sure. Basically if you are an entire day with the engine at top revs the cilinder expands a little bit due to overheating and the internal friction increases so you have a *significant amount of power loss at the end of the day. I say significant because with around 40 hp if you loss just 2 or 3 hp it's like 5% of power loss.
I was thinking on adapting an optional RC390 bigger radiator on the Svart but it's kind of messy. You can also use specific for racing cooling liquid but I have to check the possible cons on a bike like the 401 so... I just assume I loose a bit of punch at end of the day and it's fine.
Unless there are some dukes 390 or similar on track, everyone destroys me on straight sectors 😅 so it's not really a big big difference.

I'd be really curious to hook up a head temperature gauge and watch this.
Do they sell Engine Ice or similar products in Spain?
The air temperature rising during the day can have a significant effect on horsepower too.
