Supermoto mode not staying on.

When I put the bike into Supermoto mode it turns itself back to Road mode by itself some time later. It might be the next time I start the bike, or it might be after several times out riding. It's a nuisance and I don't know why it behaves as it does. Any ideas?

It is every time you start upp the bike isnt it?
Is there a dongel for this? Or is it only for the 701?

OK, I went to check it to see if it did it on every on/off/on or only sometimes.

The first time I put it into Supermoto mode, started up OK and ran in Supermoto mode. But when I turned it on the next time it showed Supermoto until I started the motor, then it went back to Road mode.

I put it into Supermoto mode again, started up OK. I rode the bike to the shops, stopped, started OK for the ride home. Did it a second time, still in Supermoto mode.

So it seems it intermittently reverts to Road mode but with no obvious reason that I can figure out.

When was the last time you had it at the dealer?
I know mine got a software update last year in autumn that changed the behaviour of display which enabled me to engage "abs off" without having to roll the bike a few yards first. (Mine didnt have SuMo mode)

Also changed the fuel /distance display.


Does your bike's behaviour change when you "key on/off only" vs. "Kill switch & key)?

Bike had service at the dealer May 26th, six weeks ago. I asked them to check the software settings on the quickshifter as it was sometimes a bit clunky and they did any updates etc.

I've not heard of any requirement to roll the bike a bit as part of the mode switch.

I mainly turn the motor off with the kill switch and then with the key once I'm off the bike with gloves off. Checking if there's any difference in the bike's behaviour is tricky at the moment. Here on our east coast we are under months of almost constant rain (do a web search of current floods in Sydney and surrounds). Yesterday was a rare day of sunshine so I could get out a few times on the bike. Today it's heavy rain again.
