So today was my spanking new 2027 Svartpilen 801 SE's maiden voyage and nearly everything worked perfect, except for the trip computers, #1 and #2. I have my 801 set up to show miles, which I have confirmed is selected in the setting menu. As I was traveling along today, I noticed when I looked at the trip computers they both showed the bike had significantly more miles than the odometer. The odometer indicated roughly 168 miles, and the trip computers indicated roughly 260 miles. I have the bike set up to show Trip computer #1's miles traveled displayed in the first of the four positions where you can display whatever you want, miles cover, engine temp, volts, etc. ect. etc. For whatever reason, both trip computers, #1 and #2, are displaying km even though they indicate the number is in miles. I confirmed this by riding with reset trip computer #1 displayed and rode until the number displayed was "10 mi". I then looked at the main screen showing the four boxes and their desired numbers. For miles covered it showed "6.2 mi". I also discovered both trip computer #1 and #2, show the average speed in km even though it indicates the number displayed is in miles.
When I got home after a 300+ mile ride, I disconnected the negative terminal of the battery for about an hour, then reconnected it hoping this might cure the issue, but no luck.
Anyone else have this happen with their 801? If so, what was the fix if any? And before someone says, just take it back to the dealer and let them figure it out. That's my last resort as I hate dealing with the dealers.
