Hey everyone, I wanted to see if anyone could point me in the right direction to figure out what is going on with my clutch. I have a 701 Supermoto that I recently bought used that has about 10k miles on it. Yesterday I went on a roughly hour and a half ride and usually my clutch engaged about halfway through the release travel however during the ride it very noticeably changed and is now at the very top of the lever travel. It seems to me that it shouldn't change that much that quickly. I know a common issue is the slave cylinder however the previous owner replaced mine with a rekluse. Anyone had this happen before? Please let me know if you have any suggestions on what to try first. Thanks everyone.

I'd try bleeding it first, see if the issue comes back quickly. If the issue returns, your master cylinder may need a rebuild.

I just tried to. It was strange, I tried bleeding (non-reverse) with a hose on the nipple into a bottle and it kept consuming the fluid at the top at what almost seemed like higher rate than what was coming out into the bottle and I couldn't get a consistent flow every time I cracked the bleeder. After I did what I could bleeding it that way I went for a test ride. The first 1 or two times I let out the clutch it felt almost normal, after that it went right back to being at the very end of the lever travel. You think that would be master cylinder? I also have some fluid leaking near the slave cylinder but it appears to just be normal oil. I think the slave to engine paper gasket could be going bad. Let me know what you think, thanks!

It does sound like it is letting air in somewhere.
If it's leaking at the slave, it might be wise to check that first. Get a new gasket and pull of the slave, check if that is leaking, or if it is indeed engine oil.
If the slave isn't leaking, the only suspect left is the master.
If the slave is leaking into the engine case it is also wise to change the engine oil.

I'll pull the slave off and take a look. Hopefully I can tell if it is leaking from the slave and that it isn't just oil. I already plan to do an oil change so that's no issue. If the slave is leaking I'm assuming that means a whole new unit? I'm not sure if I can reseal the aftermarket unit.

Rekluse can supply rebuild kits for the slave.

When you take of the slave, clean it, leave for a while, and check if there's fresh oil on it somewhere. You could apply light pressure on the lever to actuate it a little, and see if any oil comes out.
