I just wanted to rant - why does it have to be so convoluted to pull the spark plug out of Vit/Svart? Modern bikes are real pain to work on. They clearly no longer design motorcycles with maintenance in mind.

...although...I did own a Ducati 899 at one point in my life, and I had to half dismantle the bike to do the valve adjustment. Dealer quote for the job is $1500 to $2000. I choked and paid that the first time, but I did it the second time, took me 2 weekends. So comparatively, Vit is walk in the park, for sure...

I have not done a spark plug change yet but I have seen two methods for replacing it. One is you remove the fuel tank and the other is to go in thru the side by removing the coil. Both look like a pain but I plan to try the side method as I hate dealing with those fuel hoses.

It's less complicated than it might seem, I saw the tutorial on a duke 390 and I wished I could have given it a 32 key on its head for every minute lost ruining the spark plug cap!! There is no need to remove the tank completely, you just have to free it and move it just enough to remove the spark plug, only then can you be sure to see the seat of the spark plug head and clean it if necessary.
