Obligatory noob post:
I went to clean the front sprocket cover.
My quick & unwise idea was to remove the bolt from this linkage arm to get the cover off.
I did not realize it was spring-loaded with a gear washer (doesn’t seem to be shown in the manual).
Once the washer popped loose I was unable to re-seat it by tightening the bolt again.
I can still shift gears as normal (so far).
I’m due for my first service next weekend, so at the worst I’ll have the dealer get it re-tightened. That is if my ride to the dealer goes as-intended.
Does anyone have any experience with removing & reinstalling this bolt?
