Just started riding again as the Louisiana weather sauna is easing up. Pulled the bike out of the garage today for the second ride in two days and noticed that it had puked some coolant where it was parked. After starting it up I noticed that the idle was erratic and low as in bordering on stalling out, but it kept running for a short 8 mile trip to dinner. Then on the way back home the dash lit up with a service warning which would not reset after pulling into a parking lot and restarting the bike. Looks like a 4 hr one-way trip towing the thing to the nearest Houston dealer. Not good at all.

Aside from service reset, did you look at the bike yourself to see if anything was obviously wrong... such as coolent level, oil color through the window, fan function, spark plug condition, animal nests?

Let’s get back to the service reset. Can that be done without dealer assistance? And if so, how?
(Coolant level, spark & fan are fine. No animal nests)

Press Mode until it shows the odometer. Then press Set until you see the wrench icon. Then press and hold Set for 10 seconds.

Service reset procedure described above resets the "Service" message & service interval to the value set by the Dealership.

A Check Engine Light is often occompanied with an additional message, such as "CAN Bus Failure", and can be cleared with an OBD tool.

Thanks. I found the service reset info on pg 220 of the Norden repair manual.
That was it.
For info, the dealer will need to adjust it after the first 1000 km interval unless you want to keep it at 1000 km of course (I asked the guy to show me how its done last time 🙊)

The reset with the button will reset to the interval which is set using the dealership service computor.
