At the suggestion of others on the site, I have attempted to stop a weeping fork using seal mate rather than trailering the bike to the dealer and having them deal with it , maybe covered by warranty, maybe not.

You have to take the fender off to get at the seal properly and that is a pain getting underneath to take the screws out that hold the fender to the braces. Getting better at it though as I already did this once when I painted the fender.
Do not attempt the fix without first taking the bike's weight completely off the forks, otherwise you will be met with a gush of oil when you insert the seal mate.
The included instructions did not mention that little nugget.

Not being all that bright, I ordered a black seal mate that made it hard to spot any grit coming out. Why do they offer colors anyway? I guess so dummies like me cannot see the grit.
Anyway I saw nothing but clean looking oil.

So far it appears to have worked, but the leak was so miniscule to begin with, it will take time to show up again if it is still leaking. Pumping the forks in place, it leaked through the first 3 cycles, but eventually sealed.
I'll let you know if it works long term.

I am a little concerned I let too much oil escape ,so the level should be checked once I find out how to do that, but near as I can tell, damping is unaffected.
