RideApart claims the New Norden may have been delayed by the radar patent process

Considering the first KTM armed with the new radar system is expected to launch at the end of January, 2021, it could potentially explain why we had to wait for the Norden for so long.
That lines up perfectly with the announcement date on Husqvarna's website

I could see that. It makes much more sense after learning of the 701's discontinuation. Big time speculation here, but if the replacement for the 701s are 901s it would make sense for production and supply line reasons to get those 3 on similar production schedules. Also for marketing reasons it makes sense to launch at least 3 new bikes and make a big splash rather than 1.

Yet KTM is churning out one new model after the other... including the 1290 Super Adventure, which has (you guessed it), radar for adaptive cruise control.

Which means, in combination with a quickshifter there is absolutely no reason whatsoever use the handlebars?

I can just imagine how relaxing it would be going to sleep on the I5 knowing the cruise control is adaptive.
