Ride Pictures!

Joeprez, that is Puerto Rico? Very cool. You should post a whole ride report in that section. What's it like riding on the island?

Thanks! Yes, this is Puerto Rico, the pictures are from the East coast of the island (Maunabo and Yabucoa), about 1.5 hours from were I live. I can certainly post more comments and pictures in a separate thread (and would love to see post of rides from other members too!). Besides riding dirt/mud (no dry offroading here, there is always mud), paved riding is basically on the highway (cruisers and bigger sport bikes prefer that) or the tight, curvy mountain roads, which is what I like to ride. These are often the "old roads" before the highways were constructed, so the roads are not very wide, sometimes the road is clean and in great shape and sometimes you will find holes and gravel. It also rains a lot here. All these means that you cannot carry a lot of speed through these roads, but man they are very fun to ride and you get to see awesome views of the mountain and the coast. I usually spend most time in second or third gear and you can see that the average speed of the ride was 23 mph.

On these roads you usually see a lot of Supermotos or dirt bike converted to road. I find that the Svart plays great in this enviroment. I get a lot of positive comments on the Svart, people love its style mixed with the "kind of" off road tires. I've also ridden my friend's KTM 690 SMC R which is great on these roads. Everytime I ride his bike I get the bug of moving up to a Svart 701, but the truth is I still have much to learn on the 401 (plus its not really necessary unless I want to start riding on the highway).

Nice to see all those arrows being ridden in so many different places around the world ! Here are a few pictures of mine, in the french southern alps, that I took while on a multi day adventure :

Hi everyone!

Still have photos of a couple of rides I need to post (work has been crazy). But I had to post this one from my last ride. Need to remind myself I dont have a Supermoto (like me friend). Also need to tighten the rear shock :)
