I didn't realize there was such a skateboard - motorcycle correlation!

As I've moved around the country over the years, I have come to realize that all my hobbies have a common thread regardless of National geography (seems more a function of age). That includes skateboards & mountain bikes/road bikes. Growing up in a household where motorcycles were not allowed, I'm glad that I spent so much time fine-tuning my balance on a skateboard which later translated to motorcycling.

This is a bike I had custom made back about 1972. It's got all the good stuff from back then, Reynolds tubing, TA chain rings, Stronglight cranks, Fiamme rims, ... I got it out of the shed a while back and polished it up a bit.



This is what I mostly ride these day. Specialized Roubaix. Those weird things in the forks and seat tube are elastomer blocks to take out some of the road buzz.



This is (was) for getting dirty. Trek Remedy 8. It was a great bike but a while back I broke my shoulder and decided that mtb puts me in danger of making things worse. I sold this one and stick to road or fire trails.



Giant Toughroad gravel bike for fire trails, singletrack etc. instead of the Trek.

Just saw this thread. Pics here of my customized Yamaha Morphous scooter (250cc). It was all black when I got it. I did a vinyl wrap job on it. Sewed the seat cover with fake crocodile and ostrich skin. Lots of aftermarket chrome bits including the sex toy hand grips. I meet people almost every time I ride this. I was inspired by Bosozoku scooters in Japan.

With those pointy grips it looks like just walking by too closely could cause the need for medical attention.
