Just seen the price of a brand new 2023 vitpilen 401 at dealers near me.

I paid £5000 for my Svart back in September they are down to £4300 now.
That is what a new model coming out soon does for winter prices here in the UK.

3799 UK is about 4800 US. I've seen Vits for $4888 but the out the door, OTR price is around $6000.

They're really blowing them out in the UK. Could it be that the sale of the 2024s is imminent?

I just paid $4k in the US for a brand new 23, in Pittsburgh.

This was before the announcement (about a month before) - but yes pretty common to clear out inventory to make room.

But I will happily pay $4k for a 23 vs $6k+ for a 24. All I really want from the new one is the TFT screen.

That's amazing!

My closest dealer has three '23 Vits for $4649. They have no Svarts.

The riding season is year long here in SoCal and the rent is high.

I cannot believe the price in general for these bikes. They are such great value, I just wish the bolts and threads were a bit better.
Yes the TFT from the new one looks nice but having come from analog dials on previous bikes I do not think I am missing anything with the current LCD on my Svart.
I do not really take any notice of the speedo, I go as fast as the vehicle in front until safe to go past (if I can) or if there is no vehicle in front I go as fast as I want. In 30 and 40 mph zones is where I look at it.

New Svart 401 and 125 have been revealed here in UK. No Vits, that I have seen yet, but the release must be imminent if UK motorcycle journo’s have seen them. There are on Husqvarna uk website I think, last time I looked.

Ha ha, I never use a cycling computer on my bicycles. There's just two speeds, fast enough and not fast enough, lol.

The 2024 401s are now up on the Husqvarna US website. Pics from the website.

My local dealer said to me last week that he will get the 401 in about 4 weeks time, so end of February. In Sweden at least. And if the info he got is correct :)

There are already reviews of the 2024 401s on YouTube, from India.

I noticed that the India market bikes are missing some of the features.

Managed to grab the best deal in Ontario Canada for a '23 Svart : 5.7K, which about 4.2K USD Some dealers still have 2-3 in stock, while 10+ of Vits. The reason the Vit has more trouble selling is insurance surcharge for being "a sportstbike". <sigh>

I love the looks of the '24, the bigger tank, the better dash, but the '23 feels more unique to me. I'm more curious what the '25 Adventure will bring to the table.
I also valued how the '23 can mod to 18-19 exhaust routing spec and get something rather well protected while still retaining unique look.

Can't wait for the weather to swing away from snow and ice.

Congratulations!

I pay $15 a month for a Vit.

People prefer riser bars to clip ons.

I noticed in the pics I posted of the '24 401s from the Husqvarna site that the handlebar and foot peg positions appear to be identical.

It now comes down to what colors you prefer. I think I prefer the Vit colors, stands out in the sea of black bikes.

Hi everyone. Yes, I know it’s 4 months since the last post on this thread, but I recently picked up one of these old stock deals.
I collected a brand new zero miles ‘22 vitpilen on the 24th of May then trailered it to Scotland where I ran it in around the NC500.
I got it on a PCP deal. Bike price was £3495 + OTR. The PCP APR is only 1.19%.
It had the first service at my local husky dealer when I got home.
Very happy. It’s a potential modern replacement for my RGV250. Most fun I’ve had on a bike in a long time.
I did test ride a ‘24 model before buying but prefer the ergonomics and looks of the ‘23 and earlier bikes.

Wow, running a new bike in on the North Coast 500 is an amazing start to your Vitpilens life. I am a bit jealous! The price you paid is a bargain any way you look at it. At that price I could have bought most of my mods and still be below the £5000 I paid.
I totally agree about the RGV replacement, when mates ask why I did not buy a bigger bike I say this is like riding my old LC, I ring it’s neck almost everywhere and it rewards me with a massive grin. Mine has released my inner hooligan again and I am so much the better for it. I would not want the 24’ either, I think they have diluted its strangeness. Also ours have more ECU and exhaust mods available, at least until the powers that be remove them from sale. Speaking of which I can definitely recommend the FuelX lite for your Vit, it smooths the lower lumpiness out and helps in lower speed riding, 30 and below.

Haha yes, it was an interesting start. None of my bikes were really suited to the Scottish highlands so when we planned the trip I started looking for another bike. I came across these vitpilens and really liked the look of them plus the price was cheap. It was a no brainer. My mate who came with me took his wifes BMW 310GS. Personally I think these small capacity bikes were perfect for the trip. We stayed centrally (bottom of loch Shin) in my campervan and took the bikes out to do a different area each day. In the narrow twisty bits (which there’s a lot of) they were in their element and could pull away from the superbike groups and the BMW 1200GS brigade with all the panniers pretty easily, especially when it was wet (which was about 50% of the time). I covered just over the 620 first service point in the four days we were there. Then trailered it back home to Norwich.
Like you I’ve done the bigger bikes and come back full circle. Inner hooligan is a great description :)
Thanks for the tip on the FuelX, I’ll add that on to the mods list. Not planning to do much, just the aesthetics of grab rail, mirrors, passenger pegs etc. Not interested in more power. It doesn’t need it (it’s actually got about the same torque as a stock RGV) and if I want it I’ve got a bigger bike to ride. I do fancy giving it a thrash around Snetterton though. See how it performs against my RGV….
And if you get a chance, take yours to the Scottish highlands. It’s fantastic.

Price has dropped to 195,000 pesos for a 2023 here in the Philippines. That is about $3300 USD and includes 3 years of registration. They are still shipping from India so not sure if they still have a production line running for the old models or they somehow have a warehouse full of them.

That’s an amazing price. Hard to believe they’re still making a profit.

Even more amazing when you consider that price includes either 18% VAT and Excise Tax or possibly just the 10% VAT that Husqvarna would have to pay to import. So their cost must be under $3k or they are losing money. In the Philippines the VAT and Excise is included in the price to the consumer.

My local US dealer has a new '23 listed for $3500 but then wants to add the $575 destination charge. If not for that I'd own it already. May let them sit on it for a bit yet.
