Those boots obviously want to have their soles level all the time, and that is what you can see at the 23 second mark - the wheelie is merely there to keep them level. :)

In a similar vein, I'm really tempted by these. I'm all about ATGATT (I wear full-face Arai helmet, wear an airbgag vest, dyneema jeans with armor, etc) but shoes are the one thing I struggle with - I just can't go around wearing some race-spec Alpinestars.

Now not being a person to wear a good pair of skateboard shoes while skateboarding, I have trouble convincing myself into not wearing them on a motorcycle.

Pro
1. They have soles with good grip on sand, grass clippings or pea gravel when putting a foot down at a stop light, and at the same time are hard enough to ride motard'd more than once
2. They work on the shifter
3. They dont melt.

Con
1. Waterproof is not an option
2. Not safe at any speed, for ankles that is
3. The laces are only for looks and the elastic on the tongue keeps them on the feet, kind-of sometimes hopefully

Here's a good alternative with proper protection - https://www.alpinestars.com/products/j-6-waterproof-shoes

Worn these in all conditions for two years. Feet never get wet or too hot and other that the white sole getting dirty there is hardly any wear. The only thing I miss is the reinforced toe on my Sidi boots which helps with shifting but that's more the fault of the tiny shift peg on these bikes.

These are Aussie brand, Dririder. I've had these as a city boot for a few years now and they've not suffered any pipe-melt. They are fairly thick layered canvas and I don't know what else is in there. I don't think they are advertised as water proof but I've not had any trouble riding in rain. I imagine different brands will sell the same boot from the same Chinese manufacturer under different names.
