Number of chain links

I'm replacing the chain and front/rear sprockets on my Vitpilen 701 and am seeing conflicting information on the number of links in the chain. The parts fiche shows 118 links: https://sparepartsfinder.husqvarna-...907?modelidentifier=1001179192&isEngine=False
and the OEM drivetrain kit I ordered showed up with 118 links, but I counted the number of links currently on the bike (not sure if original) and it's 114. I've also seen some other posts on this forum saying the original chain is 114 links, so what's going on here? Is it 118 or 114? If it is 114, why is the parts fiche showing a chain of a different length?

I would count for you mate but my chain and gearing have all been changed.

After changing out the sprockets, I tried the 118 and it's too long, looks like it really is 114.

As you found out by yourself it's 114 links.
