Once I can get to the dealership and they have put my bike together, I'll get some measurements and closer pics. There is a 790/890 for sale and I think that should provide enough evidence for me.

I was actually thinking that the Cat Delete would be a low cost option as well? Might give some much needed back to the OEM canister?

Decat is expensive because you also need more Fuel, and LM ECU is currently only option (unless things changed in the last few days...)

I used Rapid Bike on my 1199S and it's a great system and uses the O2 sensors to help get an ideal AF mixture. Might even try the 890 version but will have to do a bit of research first.

In the US you often do not need a cat, except California, whereas in the EU you do need a cat.

Ordered one from Wing Exhausts. Will come in full black within couple of weeks. Saw some reviews that the Akra didnt add much of a sound improvement.

@BISavage ... I need some noise level. Helps in knowing when to shift easier, plus they hear you a bit better when you riding between two lanes in a traffic jam.
The Wing Exhausts come with an easy removable or reattaching db-killer. Costs 500 euro.

Stock exhaust end can with Rottweiler airbox, de-cat (arrow) & Rottweiler mapped PCV. So it’s gonna look stock…

Note that a lot of the parts are still on back order.

However, break-in miles will be done in Stock configuration.

Kinda the reason to change the pipe though, for the looks.


I only would buy a bike with cat because modern fuel stinks like nasty when no cat is installed.

And from I read LM Ecu is unbeatable currently.

Not my bike though, so I do not choose to be choosie with your choosing.

Does any have the oem silencer with an arrow de-cat, no other engine mods, if so could comment on whether its much louder than stock please. Looking to add a slight increase in sound and remove excess heat from oem cat in the summer heat.

From my recollection, the 890 type engine doesnt run without a cat and no other engine mods

You would need atleast the LM-ECU in addition to the decat, then it is only slightly louder, and runs right.

With the direction that regulations are headed, I believe that one will create much fewer problems by making use of the original exhaust end can.
