(Trying to get a bit more content on this 901 forum so thought I’d put this up). Theres plenty of luggage on offer for the 901, so what are you going to use? I’ve always had alloy panniers (although when I first started riding in the 80’s, it was a tank bag and soft throw overs bags). Kinda dont want hard panniers anymore, so have been looking at the soft bag options, Endurastan Blizzards and the like.
I really liked the prototype 901 soft panniers, which were throw overs that sat forward of the rack. The production version is the same bags but they now clip to a rack/frame and are set further back and stick out much further, which I dont like. I do like the idea that they can be clipped on and off. Would be nice if someone came up with a bolt on frame that sat much closer and further forward or if ktm/husky had designed them to fit direct to the subframe rails, if the plastics we’re removed.
