NORTY FLATZ
expert rider
I was invited to try a new Norden 901 by Husqvarna. It had about 50 miles on the ODO. After chatting with the Husq factory rep, I headed out for a 25 mile demo evaluation ride.
This ride included most everything that can be encountered on the road. Except debris avoidance maneuvers. Pace was moderate.
City stop-n-go, freeway, twistys, up/down hill with decreasing radius, off-camber turns. The bike handled all the challenged fairly well. But, where it really shined was in the "point-n-shoot twistys."
Power was available everywhere. Was told to "let the dogs out" during pre-ride.
Brakes were strong with good modulation. Suspension wasn't too bad. (WP Explor up front.)
Here's the 1 thing that really stuck out for me....VIBRATION. There ISN'T any. Like riding an electric bike, there's virtually no vibration in the bars/pegs/seat & mirrors. Absolutely wonderful, how Husky did it.
Nice bike, Husky has here.
