Just wanted to say hi since I am new to both the bike and the forum.
Fredrik from Sweden. Vitpilen 701 with only 3350 km. Sc project, r & g tailtidy.

Looking forward to start to ride the bike once the current storm/bad weather on the west coast is over!

So, just been out on the bike for the first ”real” time. Love it!!!! So agile and also a very nice sound to it.
Noticed, not so surprising, that one has to keep the revs up.

It is not always more power is more fun, I have a Tuono Factory and a Ducati 1098 in the garage as well but I must say that it was a while since I had so much fun on a bike ”in the real world”…..

I can see the kilometers piling up from now on. Sorry for my English, not my native language coming from Sweden.

Its a fun bike🙂. Maybe it is early but are you planning any updates on the bike? Nice bikes in the garage. I was looking a long time for a Ducati but never find the right one for me. Still keeping one eye open if the right one to show up.

Också från Sverige. Vilken del av landet är du från?

The bike got a SC project slip on, R&G tail tidy and bar end mirros. All recalls done.

My plan is to ”start there” and see how it goes!

Jag är ifrån Göteborg, vart håller du hus? Man ser inte så många 701: or på vägarna.

Think its a god start. Suppose you got the filter lid of and a toth down on the front. That will do a lot.

The bike is rarely seen here to. Bor i Uppsala regionen

Svartpilen 701 2020 in Dalby, Lund här 👋 That's a lovely bike you've got there!

I don't see too many Svart/Vit here either, even though we got a dealer in Sjöbo. I see more Norden on the roads here, which also is nice of course :)
Two years ago, when I started riding again after a 30 year pause, I saw more Svart/Vit (mostly 401) around but not many at all this year. At the same time, when talking to the sales guy at the dealership, people are asking him for help in finding a 701 so there's still some interest in the model.

One thing I recently did to my bike is getting an O2 sensor dongle, the more advanced kind that uses the O2 sensor instead of just bypassing it. It made a world of difference in engine response at low rpms. A highly recommended mod :)

Thanks for the tips about the O2 sensor.
For now I am going to ride it as it is and keep at 4k and over….!
After the season I will then evaluate and see what changes/upgrades possible will be done.
With 3 bikes to ride the most important thing right now is actually riding it!!!!
