Modded clutch lever for a take-up screw.

Drilled and tapped a hole in the perch to put a take-up screw in. I ride enduro bikes most of the time, so I'm very particular about my clutch levers. It really helps with one finger reach (small hands).
Also cut the lever, so I can pull it all the way in without slamming my knuckles.

Very cool mod! I cut the lever on my dirt KTM... might get a shorty for the 401.
Interesting idea to put a stop to take out the extra slack. (No lock nut?). I guess the lever's "5" setting wasn't enough for you... I've been good with it so far, but I'll keep this mod in mind.
 
Funny you ask that. I broke mine while removing it. I have received the replacement today. In the meantime, I've learned that the flame outs that happen on downshifts, while costing, are due to that switch. I have ridden with the switch always engaged and always disengaged. When engaged, it would die almost every time. When disengaged, it never dies, and the RPMs don't dip below idle.
That leads me to believe that the issue people have with random flame outs are due to the switch not fully toggling when pulling the clutch lever.
I'll install the replacement and tinker with it soon.
 
glad to see I am not the only one with knuckle problems... I need to get my lever sorted too :-)
