Under the break-in info in the manual, it says to limit the rpm to 7800 after the initial 620 mile service. But in magazine road tests, it lists max hp as 75 at 8500 rpm. And in the rpm warning light settings, it shows 8000 for rpm1 and 9000 for rpm2. Can someone tell me what the “official” maximum safe rpm is? Does it have a rev limiter?

Pretty sure it has a limiter. (Like 103% sure or alot of people will have spread them out over the street)

After break in those lights are a driver aid in case you dont have a pipe loud enough to hear the engine, or dont feel the power through the seat.

Another thing: the lights are actual "shift" lights, meaning that in 6th they dont light up, because there is no more gears after that.

What I mean to say was: warm it up nicely and then youre good.

Id estimate its More Likely to make it go "pop" by using too much power too low in the rpms.

It has a limiter because I have hit it on accident, comes up fast in first…. I couldn’t tell you exactly where it is though because I wasn’t really looking at the tachometer closely lol I think it was around 9k.

Then the manual show this for setting the shift speed rpm.....
