So I was playing with the instruments on my 2020 Svartpilen 401 and I found these are the maximum settings for the Shift indicator:
RPM1 8950
RPM2 12,500

I think the stock engine rev limiter (ignition cutout) is set at 10,000 rpm or maybe a bit higher?

Where do you guys set the shift lights?
I find the flashing RPM1 annoying and I wish I could disable that.
So I set RPM1 at 8950, the max it let me. And I'm trying 9500 for RPM2.

max HP for a duke 390 is around 9-9.8k. not too much point setting the indicators for anything past that, except for personal preference! i've seen some people set it for when the powerband starts, and the solid shift light for when it ends somewhere around 9.6k

I just adjusted my lights so that it matches the dyno on the coober webpage (link below).

7200 rpm1 and 8800 rpm2

The idea that I should keep the engine always in that rev range where it flashes.

When its doesnt light or lights solid I should consider the use of a different gear.

Intestingly the shift light seems to be much more accurate than the black bars.
