Lowering Kit for shorter riders...

Has anyone tried one yet? There is an OEM kit with kickstand but a bit pricey! Some aftermarket kits but not sure if anyone has given it a go. I am looking for just a little more foot on the ground as I am only ~5'6" (167cm).

Haven't bought a bike yet but my local dealer has some great deals and this bike definitely intrigues me!

I've no experience with the lowering-kit, but the KTM-/Husqvarna-kit reduces the height at the front and the rear (the shock and the fork) and it is completely street-legal here in Europe (if that's important for you).

Thanks Tom for the instructions, that is very helpful and gives me a little better idea on what's going on with that kit.

Alternatively, there are simpler (and less expensive) kits available that shorten the shock in the same way as the KTM/Husqvarna kit. With these simpler kits, however, the fork is not shortened but merely pushed up through the triple clamps as far as possible.
This alters the geometry, as the bike ends up sitting lower at the rear than at the front. The bike becomes more stable but less agile.
Personally, I would therefore definitely choose the KTM/Husqvarna kit, which retains the stock geometry.
