Has anyone tried one yet? There is an OEM kit with kickstand but a bit pricey! Some aftermarket kits but not sure if anyone has given it a go. I am looking for just a little more foot on the ground as I am only ~5'6" (167cm).

Haven't bought a bike yet but my local dealer has some great deals and this bike definitely intrigues me!

Thanks in advance, you all seem like a great crew with good info!

Thanks Tom for the instructions, that is very helpful and gives me a little better idea on what's going on with that kit.

Hi! I am a shorty, too, at 5’5 29 inch inseam. I finally got the lowering kit fitted this summer (OEM Husky/KTM). It dropped the bike an inch. The major pro, for me, being I feel less stressed when at a stop (I am a one foot down type of rider). The con for me is my legs feel cramped now. So, when I ride in the heat (90+ degrees), the back of my knees feel warmer and sweatier. That’s all. Also, it’s about a four hour job at the dealer, so factor that in to the price of the kit—it gets expensive. But, bikes are not one size fits all, so we have to adjust the ergonomics and I have done that to fit the bike me better. Hope this helps. The bike is really fun. It’s worth experiencing.

Eames5,

Thanks for this info, didn't realize it would take them 4 hours ... Also, can you tell me, the stock shock has a rebound adjustment on the Rodlink at the bottom on the LH side of the bike. Does the new Rodlink, which I assume is shorter, have this adjustment screw or do we lose the ability to make that adjustment? This would make a difference to me as well. I am basically the same height as you and can muster the single leg at lights too, but it would be nice to have a little more security!

Again thanks for your help with making this decision!

I’ll post a picture. I should’ve taken a before photo. And you’re welcome. It took nearly 4 hrs because they adjusted the forks as well.

So the adjuster is there, it is just on the opposite side now?

I don’t remember how it was before to be honest. This is a 2025 model.
Awesome, mine is a 2025 as well and it was on the left, but if the new one has it, I don't really care if it is on the right or left, just didn't want to lose it!!!

Thanks again for the pics, it's an awesome bike and I am hoping to enjoy it for a long time to come, hence why I would like the kit to be even more comfortable!

I’m glad I could help. I will say that lowering it saved me once already at a stop. It prevented me from dropping my bike after I hit first gear without fully pulling the clutch in. I was distracted, but I kept the bike upright because it was slightly lower than before. 😄
