Lithium Battery / Charging Question

I've been plagued since last summer with a bad charging system. I killed a battery and assumed it was faulty, so bought another. Within two weeks that battery was dead too. Started to assume my charging system had an issue. I did all the multimeter tests and all signs pointed to the regulator rectifier. I replaced it and am just looking for someone who knows more about lithium batteries than I do to give a second opinion.
  • Bike off: 13.9V
  • Bike idling in neutral: 14.27V
  • Revving engine in neutral: No increase beyond 14.27V
So, it seems like its charging. But I thought it only charged when its in the 3-5k RPM range. Am I wrong, and these bikes will charge the battery while idling in neutral? IS there any way for the voltage to increase from its resting voltage when the bike is running without charging? I know these are stupid questions, but I've gotten very very lucky the last two times this thing died on me because of this. Its got me kind of paranoid about riding, so just want a second opinion besides chatgpt and youtub videos

I totally understand your paranoia, I experienced a similar problem on my old bike. Your values look correct, especially if it goes up to 14.27V at idle. For me, it charges well even at low revs, but I always keep an eye on it as a precaution. I think you're on the right track with the new regulator.
