Left handlebar multifunction (lights control switch) alternative?

Hello everybody,
Anyone tried to install another left handlebar multifunction switch? I mean, the original one is fine, but it just lacks the hazard lights button and flash to pass lights button. Would be great to have those buttons also. Are there any good quality lights switches out there? Or...maybe there is a compatible lights switch from another Husqvarna/KTM motorcycle, that has all the functions.
 
I did that a while ago.
Use a 401 control on the left side to be able to add the flash/passing light trigger.
I used the original connector and joined the flash cable to the High bean cable.
No emergency lights though.
 
Aha, so the one from Svartpilen/Vitpilen 401 fits our bike. That's great news. Are, the wires, the same colors from 401 to 701?
 
@LuisLAN If you are kind, when you have a little free time, can you please take some pictures of the soldering you did? It would help me enormously, because the electrical part is not really my strong point. Thank you very much.
 
I did not solder anything besides joining the wire from the flash trigger with the high beam one.
The connector pins are the same, the difference is the housing, I used a tester to id each wire and lable them on each control and then put the pins of the replacement control to match the original.
Unfortunately I can't show you any pictures because all the wiring is covered by the of protective loom.
 
@LuisLAN I thought that you took pictures of the pin layout. I`m not that good as an electrician. I must ask someone to help me identify the wires id. 10x
 
@LuisLAN I was looking online to buy the 401 Svartpilen left handlebar controls, but than i noticed that the 401 Svartpilen handlebar is 26mm in diameter and our 701 Svartpilen handlebar is 28mm. Do they fit properly on our handlebar? Is there any gap left? Can you take a picture of the controls on your bike, please? Thank you!

Huh? That is not right… They are all 22mm in diameter for controls from factory
 
@Harold J. I didn't actually measure the handle bars, but according to parts catalog, those are the dimensions. I will measure my handle bar to see what diameter it has. See the two photos attached.

Please read my response carefully 😎. I wrote: They are all 22mm in diameter for CONTROLS

You are referring to the MOUNTING position of the Svartpilen handlebar itself… on the clamps, that is a different size as the controls area.
A Vitpilen 701 doesn’t have a handlebar at all just 22 mm “ clip” on pipe/bar
 
@Harold J. Right after i have written that post, i went to my bike and measured the handlebar. As you said, the handlebar is a bit thicker on the clamp than on the ends. So, there should be no problem fitting the 401 svart controls on the 701. Thank you mate!
 
@Alexandru.k_24 I missed your request.
As @Harold J. said the bar is 22mm at the ends, to control cluster fits without issue.
In any case, I would not be able to show you if it were a gap because the grip and the clutch perch are in the way.
