Mine is pretty oily there from chain lube and gunk that flys off, gets hot and then drips down. If your worried I would pull the sprocket cover and check the shaft seal, I think some have had a leak there and it’s easy to check.

They can leak from the service oil filter points, particularly if you reuse the aluminum gasket washers. Just spray it and wipe it clean and inspect the service areas after a test ride for any oil residue. That’s where they can “leak”.

I agree with what Ben Dover says above, but I think this amount of oil is excessive and concerning. Not sure where it's coming from, but it's unlikely it's something serious, but without looking at it, it may be. I recall one guy having a crack in the case that appeared to be a manufacturing issue. That said, it's likely something that could be resolved with an oil change and buttoning it up properly. There is some risk here; you might consider cleaning it really well and looking closely to see if you can see a crack. Also, consider bringing it to a shop and having them source the leak before you buy it. 80% chance it's a bad seal on an oil change point or possibly the gasket that seals the crankcase, but . . . .

The output shaft seal is also a possibility, clutch slave gasket, screw block off for oil cooler... all kinds of stuff there...

Does it have a chain oiler?
