I just received, fitted and test rode......
Wow! What a difference!!
If you haven't got one and don't live at WOT throttle on the track, just do yourself a favor and bloody well get one!

KiwiKev, Hi from another Kiwi, so what are you referring to here.? I'm currently in run in mode, nearly 600km on the clock, thinking of Rottweiler Evap can removal kit, and SAS removal kit, then there is a fueling dongle I read about, so is this what you have.? Cheers J

Heya J,
I'm about to finish my evap/SAS removal this morning.

Both the fuel dongle and Kevs o2 mod work to richen up the closed loop fuelling but they go about it in very different ways.
I chose kevs mod because I believe it's a better approach and understand it should be slightly richer and still keeps the o2 sensor in play, which allows the bike to make adjustments due to weather, altitude etc.
If you spend anytime over on the Ktm boards, you'll see the huge amount of input and knowledge that Kev shares with the community, plus he's a brother from downunder.
The fuelling dongles seem to do a decent enough job in a blunt kind of way and they are cheaper.

Cheers,
Kev

Hi Kev,
Thanks for the reply, ok so this is a new one on for me, only found the Rott stuff and a German guy Pirate racing, do you have a link or address for the Kev mod.? Keen to have a look n read...
Whose SAS/Evap stuff you fitting up.? Keen to hear how that goes as well :D
Cheers Jay

Here goes a 65 page thread to get you started......

I contacted Kev through that forum. I believe he also sells them on eBay but I ordered direct via messages.

Don't get confused by kev's fuel mod and kevs o2 mod. O2 mod does low revs closed loop fuelling to stop the jerkyness/chugging, this is kinda similar to a fuel dongle, everyone should have one of these.
The fuel mod does high rev open loop fuelling to stop it from running lean if you're doing exhaust/intake mods etc, it has an adjustable dial, this is kinda similar to a "booster plug" in a way.

I bought some resistors that I'll stuff in the hole where the SAS/canister delete plugs are supposed to go, then just plan on taping/heat shrinking them up. Then deal with the plumbing and I'll make a blanking plate.
To be honest buying the delete kit is probably the best way. I'm just on holiday and want to tinker.
I'll let you know how it goes.

I know what you mean about tinkering, why we buy all these add ons an stuff haha, ok cool, I shall get into reading, thanks for pointing me in the rite direction...
Is your bike the 701 Svartpilen.? How long you had, how you liking it.?
I got my Vitpilen last month, working my way through a few add ons at present, so far so good, looking forward to getting past the first service and all...

Yes it is the 701 svart. My first bike and I'm absolutely loving it!
Had it for about 10 months and around 5000km. I don't really commute on it, just a toy for the local hills.

Hello Kiwikev.
I am doing some research and if I understood it correctly, this product will enrich the gasoline mixture in soft or partial accelerations and with the throttle open to the maximum it does not intervene.
I am really interested in this product, but in the internet link that shows the product it appears as out of stock.
Can you pass the manufacturer's contact to put me in touch with him?

And seeing that he has also made some adjustable units that perhaps are more versatile and could take away the jerks at low revs and enrich the mixture at high revs if I modify the air filter and exhaust.

I'll pm you his email.

The adjustable fuel mod doesn't do the low end closed loop fuelling. It does the upper revs open loop fuelling and would be great if you're making other performance mods.
One doesn't replace the other.

Thanks Kiwikev, I will contact him soon.
But before doing so I would like to know if anyone has experience with other types of fuel plugs and how they go, because I have seen them for a fraction of the cost of kev o2.
I would like to know your experience.

Pirate racing did a video about the booster plug on a 790 Duke. Different bike, but the booster plug does the same trick on every bike as far as I know.
It basically makes the bike run a lot richer over the entire Rev range.
Mischa from pirate racing commented that a booster plug on a 701 would lead to it running ridiculously rich especially higher in the revrange.
Which will lead to oil thinning which could cause all sorts of misery in the long run.

I'd rather pay a bit more for kevs o2 mod, which only affects the lower revs.

Thanks nampus for your answer!
I just wanted to know the difference between the two mods.
Obviously the difference in price is justified, but I did not know the reason.
I will contact the manufacturer and fix the jerk problems.

I Know this is an old Post, eBay are banning the sale of any fueling, dongle, controllers or eliminators sold on eBay from Jan 2024, all accounts will be closed if caught selling any emission defeating devices, I am on my last warning, I have all my mods here if anyone ever wants one, as these types of mods are going to be harder to get as emissions get tighter. https://www.kevmod.com.au/s/shop

eBay are working their way through all fueling devices ads an warning sellers with a very heavy warnings, then suspension of the account if they don't comply.

You would need a VB controller at the very min for your 2020 Svartpilen 701: https://www.kevmod.com.au/product/k...&q=false&category_id=HG45MT6RJFOARUJSP4GARM5D

If you have the funds I would do both a VB controller + Adjustable fuel mod: https://www.kevmod.com.au/product/k...&q=false&category_id=HG45MT6RJFOARUJSP4GARM5D
