Hello! First time moto rider with my 2 month old 2020 Vitpilen 401. Threw on a Leo Vince GP One with custom pipe, bar end mirrors, foot pegs, headlight guard, fender delete and a few minor things on the way like a gauge cluster piece from Germany. Loving it so far!

Hi. Just picked up this Svart 701 this weekend. Working on the break-in a little today...it's brutal trying to keep it under 6K!

I have a BMW R9T and a Triumph 1200 XE, and this bike could be the bastard offspring of those two bikes. So much fun...and I'm only scratching the surface!

I'm really wanting to make this a little more trail worthy. I fell in love with Thor's build! I've got the T-rex skid plate and crash bars on the way already. But I'd really like to get at least a 19" front wheel on this thing, as there aren't many good knobby options for the 18" (I'm pretty sure Thor is using an 18" rear tire on his front. And if I can get just about another inch or two of clearance and travel, I'd be a really happy camper.

And bar risers
And wider bars
And a steering damper
And wider pegs
And Barkbusters
And folding mirrors
And my wallet already hurts just thinking about it!

I've already sent Rally Raid products an email asking them to put together a stage 2 kit for the Svart 701 similar to the kit they did for the CB500X. That would make things sooooo much easier! So, if you would like to see something similar from them, send them an email so they know there's interest.

This bike WILL be hitting the trails ...and the twisties!

Greetings all,

Looks like this forum is way more active than the Vitpilenforums.com. I placed my deposit down last thursday for a bike to be delivered at some nebulous point in the future. Fortuantely I have it set as a refundable deposit on the bike as I have never even had the opportunity to sit on one yet. All of them are hours away just to sit on. Hopefully in the next month or so it will come in and I can have the dealer mods done before I take ownership for next season.

Is there anyway to order the white ends for the radiator? Does anyone have a part number? I loathe the hivis yellow on the radiator of the svart. I will paint it by hand the day I get mine if I can't replace them.
 
I havent seen the spares catalog for the 2020, but yes, you certainly will be able to order them.

Had thought about doing some foil a couple times and always stopped when I tried to work in the neon yellow radiator ends into the scheme, now that other ends will be available, it opens up alot more possibilities. (Even if I am still hoping that someone will make me some carbon ones instead)

Carbon would be great, but anything other than that yellow. It really draws the eye to a fairly unattractive part of the bike. I understood it a bit more on the 17-19 years with the black paint and yellow stripes. However on the beautiful silver bike it looks offputting to me.
 
Hello guys! I'm new to the forum. (Very sad story incoming)

In June I bought a used 2018 Vitpilen 401 and haven't used since... :(
I started taking my driver's license classes in March and due to covid I haven't had the chance yet to take the test. So all I can do is read the posts in this forum haha

Hopefully I will be riding it very soon

I’m so far the oddball. 2020 701 Supermoto. Just finished the break in miles today. Been riding a few years with a few different bikes. I tend to change every two years or so. Unless the bike tries to kill me or itself, then it’s sooner.

Hi everyone, I'm Mitch from Sydney, Australia and I have ordered a 2020 Svartpilen 401. There's a few of us waiting on the next shipment to arrive mid-late November!

When I took the Svartpilen for a test ride I just knew I had to have one. It was so much fun and I absolutely love the styling and stock spec, and believe they're great value for money.

Like the forum founder, I have always been involved in forums and communities for my vehicles so I'm looking forward to joining the discussions on mods and maintenance.

I'm returning to riding after a 12 year hiatus, the last bike I owned was an SV650.

Very cool! My friend has a KTM 690 SMC R. After riding it last February, I got the bug of getting a motorcycle... and months later the Svart happened.
