Hitting the Pipe Catalogue

At Facebook people are saying the Euro 5 cam produces more 🐎, to keep peak power as euro 4 but with the harder Euro 5 regulations..
Maybe they used the wrong oil and melted the lobes already... in that case sure... way more powder... otherwise gonna have to call bs on that one.

Here, visual version of what @Max Kool Listed

LeoVince underbody, repacked and modified, with 690 [old one] header, works great for 3 years now, no issues at all, and i know one more guy who did same thing:
s-l1603.jpg

First bike: fueling dongle, removing two restrictor plates from center of muffler [2x 50% flow mesh] and db killer, repacking with much tighter fit for metal wool and metal mesh, plus fresh self expansion glass fibre filler blanket all arround, much deeper sound - lower temp on headers. Will do remaping on stock ecu at some point [i know one place in UK where they know how to do it right].
Oh yea and it's running on fully synthetic 15w60 [which fix issue with cam chain tensioner on cold engine]
Engine was checked after 5k miles, cams fine, spark plugs fine, velves fine, no issues whatsoever
Second bike: same header solution, same muffler but untouched, nothing done to fueling as far as i know [it was on ebay and i spoke with owner about that belly pan spoiler thingy, which i got also but afraid to use because of ground clearance and messed up road to and from my work - huge holes, loose rocks and stuff :)

Didn’t we find out in another topic all Euro 4 690’s have the same cam?
The belly pan exhaust is for previous generation, like a 2010 model, which is using a different engine generation.

I have also seen a video of a guy who runs the stock premuffler only with a turn down pipe.

It would be interesting if that solution with LeoVince belly pan style makes decent performance...

I was running catalytic converter with streight short pipe, just for weight/sound, much better then stock.
I'm going to do dyno at some point, we have one garage here in uk that apparently can remap stock ECU on 701's.
To be fair even if power gain is marginal [if any] i would still go for underbelly leo, just for look, also sound is brilliant [after mods ofc].

Man, its crazy how many used, like new, Akropovic slip-on pipes there are in ebay. (Currently more than 10...)

Is everyone really that disappointed that they need to get something else or go back to stock?

I think its pretty cool, and as much as it is probably cooler without the db killer, dont think I have the heart to ruin a perfectly good pipe by drilling it out one way or the other.

Ruin it? It's one f'ing hole for which Akra sells rubber caps... you the master of mods.

(before Euro 4 Akra's came standard with that hole and a rubber cap)

Yeah, I probably will have to wait until I "need to repack it anyways" before I let my fancy smancy pneumatic rivet tool loose on it...

Speaking of which, I wonder if they make a RevPack which fits... (lightbulb)

And as far as drilling the carbon goes, my subconscious would probably have me slip off and dent the titanium just for the attempt...
