Hitting the Pipe Catalogue

Based on my optical liking:
My first choice would be the SC Project S1 but it's not street legal for the Vitpilen and doesn't fit plug'n'play.
My second choice would be Arrow Works Ti. It's street legal, fits plug'n'play, but I prefer a smoother transition from the pipe to the muffler.

Yeah, when the pipe isnt specifically made for the bike it is a chance for some performance issues (irrelevant of where its allowed on the road).

I was close to going with the Remus to start.

I saw the Remus at the dealership and the Akro, then without having heard either one I picked up the Akro purely based on looks.

For some reason, I think this Delkevic Pipe looks pretty good on the bike;
Check it out:

Previously I noticed that the CB 1000 R has a very similar looking exhaust from Akro as the 'pilen 701.

Looks like they make a bigger db killer for it too.

I bet that a bigger one would change the tone a notch but not the volume... maybe put the power in a slightly different range...

The weldings on the mid pipe look not even so good.
Would be interesting to see some pictures on the Vitpilen and if the muffler is mountable by its own attached to the original cat.

I couldn't find any different pictures than that.
Through coincidence I found a picture with the Turbokit exhaust system mounted on a Svartpilen.

Akra can and just shove it up.. the fitting is so perfect. It'll stay together.. just have to made a new can holder

Preowner gave me a cat piece for putting in at TÜV emissions control..
Before Installing I have to sort out a lot of things.. my 3d print stuff, Ecu flash on Dyno and so on.. so I plan for mid season

In most of the USA, emissions checks are mostly only random and visual.

If an official notices an after-market non OEM exhaust end-pipe (& they heard excessive Loudness), then a citation could take place.

Engine modifications on my bike make use of the OEM end-pipe/muffler.BFF9D0C8-0B4D-40D6-AD50-A4AC7C783B9D.jpeg
